FROM SEPTEMBER 16th TO OCTOBER 24th 2025
Diálogos Visuales in the Miguel Marcos Gallery reunites eight contemporary artists in an exhibition that has awakened interest in the national artistic landscape. The showing, open to public since September 16th in the Barcelona gallery, proposes a dialogue between different languages and sensibilities, with participation of various artists such as Cesc Abad, Malka Aversa, Alberto Barcia, Eduard Bigas, Covadonga Castro, Ángel Fernández, Renata Lezama and Romulo Royo.

Conceived as a encounter between matter, gesture and image, Diálogos Visuales articulates a plastic conversation in which each author contributes a unique perspectiva of the contemporary world, raging from pictorial experimentation to the symbolic and emotional exploration of space and form. In this context, Romulo Royo’s participation stands out for its conceptual strength and the depth of his imaginary, that combines the mythical and the figurative to build a narrative of universal resonance. His internationally acclaimed work introduces in this exhibition a turning point between the tangible and the visionary, reinforcing the sense of connection between the different languages presented.

Acrylic and oil on canvas. 116 x 89 cm.
The exhibition was attended by leading figures from the international sphere, including Maribel López, director of ARCO Madrid; Manuel Segade, director of the Reina Sofía Museum; and Amanda Garza, deputy director of the same museum. Their assistance reaffirms this exhibition’s relevance within the Spanish art scene, and the recognition of the Miguel Marcos Gallery’s trajectory, which has established itself as one of the reference venues for contemporary art since its foundation in 1981.

Diálogos Visuales presents itself as a collaborative project that celebrates the diversity of perspectives and the power of art to build bridges between disciplines and generations. The exhibition will be on display at the Miguel Marcos Gallery until October 2025.
